Wellness Psychological Services is a busy private practice that specializes in individual and couples therapy with two offices located in St. Pete and South Tampa. We are looking for someone who wants hybrid of a couple in office days and some virtual days. This is a unique opportunity for a psychologist who loves the freedom and independence of practicing independently but also wants to be part of dynamic group in a supportive team setting. Wellness Psychological Services is dedicated to mission of empowering wellness in our clients and our psychologists. We aim to create a collaborative, fun, positive work environment of independent and driven clinicians who are highly competent.

We are for licensed psychologists or a licensed mental health counselor with the appropriate areas of specialization. Post doctoral residents will also be considered. We have a current program for post doctoral residents who usually stay on once licensed. Positions for licensed psychologists are 1099 independent contractor positions. Positions for post doctoral residents are employee positions.

We accept many private insurances but also have a growing significant number of private pay referrals and private contracts for compensation and pension evaluations. The practice offers a steady stream of referrals, billing services, virtual administrative assistant who schedules. We offer beautiful office spaces. The St. Pete office is in a newer building in a highly desirable central location. Our Tampa office is situated on the water with unbelievable views of Tampa Bay. As part of the position you will be credentialed with the insurances accepted by the practice. The primary job duty is psychotherapy for adults but there are also opportunities for tailoring the position to the interests of the psychologist to include couples therapy, child therapy and/or psychological evaluations. Having specific niches or areas of expertise in couples therapy or child therapy are a plus and mentoring and opportunities for supervision and training for desired areas of expertise are available. There is an incentive based pay program where the psychologist has an opportunity to make higher percentages based on the amount billed. There is significant flexibility in being either part time or full time, virtual or in person or combo, and on the days/hours chosen to accommodate different schedules as it is an independent contractor position.

Requirements For Licensed Psychologist:

• Florida licensed Psychologist or LMHC/LMFT/LCSW
• Willing to work a minimum of 15 client face to face hours per week, with some in office time in both Tampa & St. Pete office
• Specific niche or area of expertise in child therapy, eating disorders, couples therapy or trauma are a plus*
• Prior private practice experience or paneling on insurance is a plus*

Requirements For Post Doctoral Residents

• Currently completing an APA approved internship
• Dissertation is complete prior to starting
• Willingness to do in person therapy in both our Tampa and St. Pete offices in addition to some all virtual days.
• Preference for a desire to stay on and become part of the practice once you are licensed as an independent contractor.
