UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

Coordinating the care and service of the patients, promoting quality care, effective utilization of resources, and assuming a leadership role with the interdisciplinary team to achieve desired goals and resource outcomes.
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of services and working collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team.
Provides therapeutic counseling for patients, families/significant others as well as members of the interdisciplinary team to enhance coping and functional skills.

QualificationsJob RequirementsBachelors Degree in Social Work * Licensed by the State of Texas, or obtain within 6 months of hire.Preferred Job Requirements
