This position will be primarily responsible for receiving packages, managing inventory and kitting work orders. The ideal candidate would have strong organizational skills, a firm understanding of FIFO and effective communication.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Log incoming packages from shipper
- Verify quantities and part numbers against purchase orders.
- Receive product into ERP system.
- Kit work orders for assembly.
- Organizing raw and finished goods inventory and moving product to shelves.
- Periodic cycle counts of inventory.
- Organization of inventory with proper labeling and in FIFO order
- Review of current inventory storage methods with continual process improvement.
- Identify and escalate issues with inventory receipts, labeling, or damaged inventory.
- Product testing and inspection
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Previous receiving experience
- Experience in inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills with excellent sorting abilities
- Passionate, hard worker and well-organized professional with power to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Compliance with safety requirements.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to use a variety of hand tools.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not supervise others.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend standard work instructions (Assembly Procedure, Drawings, etc.), production reports, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
