Job Brief
The Rehabilitation Counselor is responsible for providing direct care and support to residents, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and respectful environment in the residence. This includes supporting residents in their daily routines.
The Rehabilitation Counselor (RC) promotes positive self-esteem of residents in a home atmosphere through consistently positive interactions, support, encouragement, and unconditional respect of individual resident rights. Assist with the daily routine of the house, which may include meal preparation, lifting, transferring, medication administration, assistance with Activities of Daily Living, transportation to medical appointments, and behavioral interventions. Key responsibilities include assisting with daily household routines such as:
- Meal preparation
- Lifting and transferring
- Medication administration
- Support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Behavioral interventions
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is required. The degree must be in one of the following fields:
- Education
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Sociology
