About the Role:
As a Licensed Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing mental health support and guidance to individuals in need. Your main objective will be to help clients navigate and overcome personal challenges, develop coping strategies, and improve their overall well-being. By utilizing your expertise in counseling techniques and therapeutic interventions, you will empower clients to make positive changes in their lives and achieve their personal goals. Your compassionate and non-judgmental approach will create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, ultimately leading to improved mental health and a higher quality of life.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid state license as a Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.
- Proven experience in providing counseling services to individuals with diverse backgrounds and mental health needs.
- Strong knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare or social assistance setting.
- Specialization in a specific area of counseling, such as substance abuse, trauma, or family therapy.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language.
- Certification in additional therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy or Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
- Experience working with electronic health record systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual counseling sessions to assess clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a wide range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and enhance clients' social skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.

You will need to effectively assess clients' mental health needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
