Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC, ALC, or LCSW) to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents and/or adults, be committed to trauma-informed practice, and be eager to collaborate in a supportive and flexible environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counseling to adolescents and/or adults
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards
  • Collaborate with other clinicians as needed to support client care
  • Uphold the values and mission of Phoenix Counseling and Resources
  • Maintain licensure and follow all applicable state and federal regulations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current licensure in Alabama as an LPC, ALC, or LCSW
  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions
  • Strong commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care

Preferred:

  • Training or interest in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, EMDR, or other experiential modalities
  • Experience with neurodiversity-affirming counseling
  • Experience working with LGBTQ+ clients and diverse populations
