Certified Intensive Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Counselor
Position Summary:
A Certified Intensive Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Counselor will be responsible for providing individual, treatment planning, education and group therapy sessions within our intensive outpatient program, offering a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their challenges and develop healthy coping strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Administering assessments, i.e. ASAM, PHQ-9, BAM and GAD.
- Using Evidenced based practices.
- Providing Referrals
- Meeting clients where they’re at and tailoring treatment plans to their needs.
- Documentation such as progress notes, case management notes and other record keeping.
- Completing release of information for outside agencies.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of 12 core functions.
- Knowledge of CBT, Seeking Safety, Living in Balance and the Matrix.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experiencing in group facilitation and education to addicted individuals.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant technology.
- Certification through CCAPP or CADTP
Education Requirements:
At minimum an associate degree in a relevant field or the completion of a majority of approved counselor certification courses. Certification: certification with a California Alcohol and Drug Program certifying body (such as CCAPP and CADTP) is mandatory upon employment.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
