Qualifications:

Required:

• Master's degree or higher
• 1 plus years of Utilization Review experience
• 1 plus years of Social Work experience
• Any of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Mexico (NM)
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in New Mexico (NM)
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New Mexico (NM)
• Any of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHC) in New Mexico (NM)
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA)
  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in New Mexico (NM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the orientation, training, and education of department members.
• Interview patients and families to gather relevant information.
• Act as a liaison between hospitalized patients, families, and community health agencies.
• Provide brief counseling services to patients and families.
• Maintain current information on community resources and financial benefits programs.
• Assist patients and families in post-discharge health care planning.
• Develop Policies & Procedures for specific Social Work needs.
