• You will be in charge of a group of children that can range in age from 6-18 years old;
• May serve as a rover, who cleans and assists other counselors when needed;
• Oversee the safety and behavior of club members, ensuring that they listen and follow the rules;
• Ensure disciplinary action is taken according to Boys and Girls Club guidelines when necessary;
• Communicate and coordinate with other counselors while following a set schedule;
• Help encourage club members to participate in programs and activates;
• Be a role model for club members to look up to for guidance and encouragement;
• Help organize and run programs and activities for club members to enjoy;
• Help to provide club members with a fun, safe, positive environment;
• Daily cleaning of spills, messes, program areas, and bathrooms as needed;
• Monday- Friday 2PM-6PM;
• Have fun

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in working with children
• Knowledge of youth development
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
• Ability to deal with the general public
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications
• Valid State Driver’s License
