Clinical Counselor
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM (4-day workweek)
Status: Salary / Exempt
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Counselor to provide high-quality counseling services to clients with substance use and/or mental health diagnoses. This position offers a consistent 4-day workweek schedule, giving you three-day weekends while allowing you to make a lasting impact on individuals and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counseling services according to state and agency guidelines.
Conduct psychosocial assessments and create individualized person-centered service plans.
Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
Monitor and respond to signs of alcohol or drug intoxication and withdrawal.
Provide crisis intervention and coordinate medically necessary services.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Support family involvement in treatment when appropriate.
Participate in clinical supervision, quality improvement activities, and peer review.
Administer medications per provider orders (training provided) and perform UDS screenings as needed.
Qualifications
Required Licensure: LCAS, LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT.
Master’s degree in human services or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
Valid NC or SC Driver’s License.
Strong clinical skills, crisis intervention experience, and a commitment to ethical standards.
Proficiency in EHR systems and MS Office applications.
