About Job

Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker needed for Elmira Psychiatric Center's Adult Outpatient Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitation Services Program.

This position may require some evening hours.

Salary dependent on education, licensure and experience

Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday.

Job Duties:

1. Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team and other involved agencies.

2. Provide supportive counseling, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, or group therapy to assigned caseload. Develop and follow plan of treatment with services provided at a frequency clinically indicated.

3. Provide tele mental health appointments and in person counseling appointments to assigned caseload.

4. Provide case management, treatment planning and advocacy as indicated.

5. Cultivate and maintain relationships with community agencies.

6. Facilitate/Co-facilitate therapeutic and recovery-oriented groups.

7. Attend scheduled team meetings and provide updates on case load.

8. Provide program supervision and oversight when necessary.

9. Attend and participate in monthly discipline meetings.

10. Engage clients via community outreach as clinically indicated.

11. Complete screenings/intakes, core histories and core evaluations. Report on all screenings and complete assessments in a timely fashion.

12. Complete assigned assessments and documentation within established time frames.

13. Maintain the uniform case record in the time frames established by HIM.

14. Assist administrative, clinical and routine tasks as assigned by the Treatment Team Leader.

15. Develop and maintain a knowledge base of community agencies and resources available in the community.

16. Conduct home visits or community-based appointments as needed.

17. Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of a license and current registration as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State or possession of a license and current registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

Must meet the Civil Service requirements for a HELPs appointment to the qualifying title.

Must have a valid Driver's License

· No psychiatric experience required.
