Description:
Supervises the work of psychology assistant positions.
Conducts performance evaluations, scheduling, timekeeping, and training.
Oversees disciplinary actions as necessary.
Evaluates and ensures that plans, programs, treatments, therapies, and testing for residents comply with professional and regulatory standards.
Develops and implements treatment programs based on diagnosis and data analysis.
Conducts counseling sessions, both individual and group.
Serves as chairperson of the Human Rights Committee.
Reviews and authorizes requests for restrictive measures, ensuring appropriateness and humane implementation.
Conducts routine psychological evaluations and reports findings to interdisciplinary teams.
Writes portions of individual service plans regarding personal growth strategies and psychological history.
Assesses individuals for suicide precautions and determines when such precautions can be lifted.
Participates in psychiatric drug reviews, admissions, and discharge meetings, providing input to team members.
Evaluates individuals for competency and provides results to relevant parties.
Offers subject matter expert testimony as required.
Trains staff during new hire orientations, annual training, and individual-specific training.
Attends conferences and training to maintain professional licensure.
Oversees the work of psychology interns and provides feedback to educational personnel.
Provides input for facility or departmental policies related to psychological and behavioral issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
