Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a passion for helping individuals navigate their psychological challenges. This position involves working with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals with various mental health conditions. The Psychologist will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment through individual and group therapy, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychotherapy.
- Develop tailored treatment plans for clients based on their unique needs and goals.
- Offer crisis intervention services and support for individuals experiencing acute mental health issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment progress, and any changes in care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in research activities to contribute to the field of psychology and improve treatment methodologies.
- Supervise interns or junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in clinical practices.
- Provide specialized care for populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, addiction issues, PTSD, and other mental health challenges.
- Facilitate telehealth sessions as required to expand access to care for clients.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Psychologist or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in child & family counseling is preferred; experience working with children is essential.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and hospital experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic modalities relevant to the patient population served.
- Knowledge of psychological testing methods and behavioral health assessments is required.
- Experience with individual/group counseling practices across various settings (school experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of addiction counseling principles and mental health counseling best practices.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those experiencing PTSD or autism spectrum disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients quickly while maintaining professional boundaries.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $94,287.73 - $113,550.81 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
