Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals, particularly children, who have behavioral health challenges, including autism spectrum disorders. This role involves implementing treatment plans, providing direct patient care, and ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards. The Behavior Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of our clients.
NOTE: Orange County availability required at this time.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Provide direct support to children and families, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of behavioral health to communicate effectively with team members and caregivers.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations as needed to assess client needs and progress.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and protect patient information.
- Engage in continuous training on best practices for working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Write FBA and Progress Reports under the supervision of a BCBA
- Conduct Parent Trainings
Qualifications
MUST HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Masters Degree
Currently enrolled in a Masters Program
Bachelors Degree + 1 year of Exp in the field
- Experience working with children, particularly those with behavioral health issues or autism spectrum disorders.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in medical documentation is preferred.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and patience in all interactions.
- Ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds while providing high-quality support.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
