Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counselor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development. This position requires a strong understanding of childhood development and the ability to foster a positive learning environment. The School Counselor will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure that each student receives the guidance and support they need to thrive.

Duties

• Counselor – Afterschool:
• Provide direct supervision and care for students

Counselor – Afterschool (Certified)
Includes all of the above plus:

• Plan and implement child care and extended learning activities and programs
• Document accidents/incidents, assist in keeping facilities neat, and maintain professional conduct www2.palmbeachschools.org

Flexible Hours & Pay

• Flexible Schedule: Hours typically run between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, offering a great balance for students or those with other commitments Palm Beach County School District.
• Pay Rate: Begins at approximately $16.27per hour
• Ensure their safety, security, and overall well‑being
• Take attendance, distribute snacks, assist with homework, and oversee facilities and materials.
• Strong skills in behavior management and conflict resolution strategies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.

Pay: $16.27 - $16.80 per hour
