Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic techniques. This role involves providing support to individuals and families, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of our clients. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for those in need.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
- Engage in crisis intervention and management to support clients during critical times.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance service delivery and improve outcomes.
- Provide education and resources to clients regarding mental health issues, coping strategies, and community resources.
- Support clients dealing with PTSD, addiction, developmental disabilities, autism, and other mental health challenges.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on behavioral health topics.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
- Experience working with children and families is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for medical documentation is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is advantageous.
- Previous experience in hospital settings or home/community care environments is a plus.
- Proficiency in crisis management techniques and patient assessment skills is necessary.
- Experience with special populations such as geriatrics or individuals with disabilities is desirable.
- Strong skills in motivational interviewing, case management, behavioral therapy, and addiction counseling will be beneficial.
