SUMMARY: This is a part-time position in which LCSW or ACSW will be an integral part of an 18-client Interim Housing Program, focusing on enhancing client well-being and housing stability. This role requires serving as a primary liaison to mental health clinicians, actively supporting clients in their journey to secure permanent housing through HMIS, and equipping housing staff with crisis management and de-escalation techniques. This position reports directly to the Program Director and Program Manager

Job Title-On Site Mental Health Clinical Therapist (unlicensed/Licensed)
Mental Health Clinical Services shall be provided by a licensed or license eligible MentalHealth Clinician, (LCSW/MSW, LMFT/MFT, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD). The on-site Mental Health Clinician is not intended to provide individual or group therapy or to
serve as a client’s mental health provider.
On-site Mental Health Clinical Services include but are not limited to:
· Crisis intervention/de-escalation and assisting clients to develop crisis response skills.
· Serving as liaison and collaboration with clients’ mental health providers and DMH IHP staff to identify and address client issues and coordinate services.
· Facilitating conflict mediation.
· In collaboration with the client’s mental health provider to avoid duplication of services:
o Provide solution and trauma focused interventions to assist clients to manage symptoms, understand problematic behaviors and develop and use more adaptive behaviors.
o Providing individual and group SUD counseling including the use of evidence-based practices.
o Provide psychoeducational, skill development, or counseling groups for clients.
· Providing training and case consultations to staff that include site support staff, managers, kitchen, housekeeping and custodial staff and security on understanding mental health conditions, and de-escalation techniques.
· Assisting clients with understanding the benefits of engaging in mental health services.
· Participating in multi-disciplinary teams to create client service plans.
· Supporting clients with their acceptance of and participation in treatment recommendations.

Education and Experience:
· *HMIS experience preferred
· A master’s degree from a regionally accredited school in Psychology, or Counseling.
· Must be a registered associate with CA state Board of Behavioral Science as A-MFT, or A-CSW.
· A minimum of 1 year of direct service with teens, adults, or families (this can include practicum and internship experience).
· Ability to pass a California State background check.
· Able to work with a combined team of clinical staff.
· Good verbal, written communication and professional documentation charting skills.
· Must have excellent communication, collaboration, and punctuality.
· Crisis Management Experience
· Must have proof of malpractice insurance.
· Ability to work a 32 hour work shift.
· Desire to work in a residential setting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
