Position Overview

We are seeking a Tennessee-licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a strong background or interest in substance abuse treatment. This role will be primarily telehealth, with the possibility of incorporating some in-person services at our Morristown, TN location as the patient base grows.

The ideal candidate is passionate about addiction psychiatry, comfortable working with a diverse patient population, and committed to delivering patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, particularly for patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications following evidence-based guidelines
  • Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and medical staff to develop integrated treatment plans
  • Provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment, and recovery support
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Participate in ongoing case discussions and team meetings

Qualifications

  • Active Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license with Psychiatric-Mental Health certification (PMHNP)
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience or strong interest in substance abuse and addiction psychiatry
  • Strong telehealth communication skills and comfort using EHR systems
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team
