Description:
  • Identify and transport materials, components, and finished products to and from the production area using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
  • Ensure materials are stored properly and in designated locations to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels of and bring materials to production lines as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of material usage, inventory, and any movements in and out of inventory areas.
  • Deliver materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules and priorities to avoid delays.
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of production equipment.
  • Constant communication and direction with the production area personnel and Supervisors as production dictates.
  • Remove and dispose of waste materials and packaging from the production area.
  • Inspect materials for damage or defects before delivering them to the production line.
  • Report any quality issues or material defects to the quality control team or production supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation related to material handling, including material transfer forms and inventory logs.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the maintenance team and production Supervisor.
  • Ability to perform Recycling Technician duties as needed.
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, work as scheduled and is seldom absent from work.

Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to effectively interact with production staff and supervisors.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate handling and documentation of materials.

Education/Experience/Certifications/Licenses

  • High School education preferred

Typical Physical and Mental Demands/Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing facility and occasionally seated in an office. May involve working under deadlines. Requires: broad range of physical and mental activities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position:

  • You will be required to stand for 5.5+ hrs./day, walk 5+ hrs./day, drive a forklift for 8+ hrs./day, sit for 5+ hrs./day, frequent engage in forward reach, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stoop, twist, push and pull using both arms and legs, lift and carry 5–51+ lbs., wear protective equipment, constant overhead reach, use manual dexterity, make position changes, perform repetitive motion, maintain physical endurance, demonstrate attention to detail, problem solve, use memory/recall, effective communication, adaptability, hear clearly, depth perception, color vision, and visual acuity. Typical tools, equipment and machinery utilized include saws (table, panel and radial arm), routers, grinder, manual and power hand tools, overhead lift equipment, micrometers, tape measure, scales, air hoses, calculator, and computer. The position involves full shifts in an environment with extreme temperatures exceeding 100°F during summer months and exposure to noise and dust.

Compensation details: 20-21 Hourly Wage
