Position: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Hammonton School District
Hours: 2025-2026 School Year Monday-Friday 7:32 am - 2:17 pm

About the Role:

As an RBT in the elementary school, you will play a vital role in supporting students with various developmental and behavioral needs. You will work closely with children, using evidence-based practices to deliver intensive table teaching sessions, one-on-one support, and behavior management strategies. Additionally, you will assist the classroom teacher in implementing individualized learning plans to ensure every child thrives in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group behavior interventions using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
  • Conduct intensive table teaching sessions to help students develop essential academic and social skills.
  • Support classroom teachers in managing behavior and promoting positive interactions among students.
  • Collect and record data on student progress and collaborate with the teaching team to adjust interventions as needed.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure cohesive support for each child.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required with the BACB Board.
  • Experience working with young children, particularly in a school or clinical setting, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for helping children succeed and grow in a positive and inclusive environment.
