Patient Care Coordinator
The Patient Care Coordinator greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner, as well as instructs, directs, and schedules patients and visitors. The receptionist receives cash payments from patients, issues receipts and posts cash payment data.
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30AM 4:00PM
Location: 1403 East Sego Lily Drive, Sandy, UT. Expectation to travel to 2146 North Main Street, Suite 514, Layton, UT 25% of the time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Scheduling outreach will be primary focus when not covering other duties
- Provide exceptional service to all customers
- Responsible to greet patients, check patient in and out.
- Ensure demographics including insurance information are correct in Epic and update as necessary
- Collect appropriate documentation per policies in place
- Schedule appointments as necessary, verifying correct visit type and primary care provider
- Responsible for waiting room management cleanliness, communicate pertinent information to patients and ensure all patients have been assisted
- Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Resolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessary
- Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas
- Perform other duties as assigned

Youll
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of related healthcare experience, including scheduling experience
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication both in person and via phone
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel 25% of the time to sister clinics
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience with electronic health records
- 1+ years of experience handling and triaging of telephone calls and a multi-system phone line
- Knowledge of medical terminology
The salary range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
