As a Social Worker 1-4, the incumbent will:
- Evaluates clients and recommends proper level of behavioral health treatment.
- Interviews clients to assess needs and problems such as education, employment, physical and mental impairment in order to determine the degree and nature of problems related to behavioral health.
- Provides advanced clinical services through individual, family and/or group counseling to a complex caseload of behavioral health clients.
- Prepares person centered plans for clients based on recommended levels of care.
- Provides both written and verbal documentation and consultation to other agencies.
- Assists clinic manager in designing and implementing programs which address community needs.
Location: This position is located at SCLHSA's Lafourche Behavioral Health Center located in Raceland, LA.
Appointment Type: Probationary Appointment
Compensation: The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
Career Progression Group (CPG): This position participates in a CPG and may be filled as a Social Worker 1, 2, 3, or 4 level at which the vacancy is filled be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected.
