Position Summary:

The Wellness Counseling Center, LLC is looking for a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist (unencumbered in the state of Missouri and/or Kansas) with a specialization in Play Therapy.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $53.00-58.00 per billable hour, depending on experience
• Full-time, a minimum of 25 billable hours per week

• Benefits. Participation in our company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision plan, after 30 days of employment. The Wellness Counseling Center pays 50% of the employee-only base medical plan.

What You’ll Do

• Provide individual and family therapy using play therapy and other developmentally appropriate interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive intakes, child-focused assessments, and DSM-5 diagnoses.
• Collaborate with caregivers to develop and update treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation (notes within 72 hours).
• Participate in case consultation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Uphold agency values for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Maintain ethical and legal standards in accordance with Missouri licensing requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Current independent clinical license in the state of Missouri (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LP).
• Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or eligibility to obtain RPT preferred.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Training in evidence-based and trauma-informed practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Active Credentials with or willingness to panel with BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, CIGNA, Optum, and United Healthcare.
