Position Summary:
The Wellness Counseling Center, LLC is looking for a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist (unencumbered in the state of Missouri and/or Kansas) with a specialization in Play Therapy.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $53.00-58.00 per billable hour, depending on experience
- Full-time, a minimum of 25 billable hours per week

- Benefits. Participation in our company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision plan, after 30 days of employment. The Wellness Counseling Center pays 50% of the employee-only base medical plan.

What You’ll Do
- Provide individual and family therapy using play therapy and other developmentally appropriate interventions.
- Conduct comprehensive intakes, child-focused assessments, and DSM-5 diagnoses.
- Collaborate with caregivers to develop and update treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation (notes within 72 hours).
- Participate in case consultation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Uphold agency values for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Maintain ethical and legal standards in accordance with Missouri licensing requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Current independent clinical license in the state of Missouri (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LP).
- Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or eligibility to obtain RPT preferred.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Training in evidence-based and trauma-informed practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Active Credentials with or willingness to panel with BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, CIGNA, Optum, and United Healthcare.
