A K-12 school is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a full academic year contract position in Waukee, IA. This role offers the opportunity to support student learning and well-being through psychological assessment and intervention within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for K-12 students to identify learning needs and disabilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and consultation services to support students social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations regarding special education.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide prevention and intervention programs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid school psychology certification or license in the state of Iowa.
- Experience working with diverse K-12 student populations.
- Strong skills in assessment, data interpretation, and report writing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws related to special education and student rights.
