A K-12 school in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a dedicated School Psychologist for a contract lasting the full academic year. This role offers the opportunity to support students' academic, social, and emotional development within a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, collaborating with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and providing counseling services to support student well-being. The psychologist will also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to interventions that promote positive learning outcomes.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure
- Experience working with K-12 students across diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting a variety of psychological assessments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and staff
- Knowledge of Special Education laws and procedures
- Ability to effectively manage caseloads and documentation
