Position DescriptionThe Community Liaison is responsible for developing key relationships in the Concho Valley community that will assist the university in meeting its fundraising, programming and community awareness goals by conducting programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC)Requisition ID41929BROptional AttachmentsProfessional/Personal ReferenceTravel RequiredUp to 100%Pay Grade MaximumSalary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills.Major/Essential FunctionsThis position is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with community stakeholders in support of TTUHSC's mission to improve health outcomes through strategic rural programming. Assigned to various projects on a rotating basis, this position will work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to advance programming, outreach, research, and service efforts in rural regions.
  • Conducts program research and documentation of requirements, program development, timelines, tools, deployment and on-going management of assigned initiative.
  • Provide support and project management to assigned programs, including community-based initiatives coordinated under Rural Affairs.
  • Provide Coordination and support and serve as a regional contact for assigned project and project team.
  • Organize and participate in assigned project events and screenings.
  • Provides leadership for assigned West Texas Rural Affairs initiatives.
  • Keeps leadership informed of progress and elevates any issues that require action and/or decision.
  • Actively attends and participates in Rural Affairs team meetings in person or via zoom.
  • Other duties as assigned by Rural Affairs leadership.

  • 5+ years' experience in rural health, community relations, or healthcare project management.
  • Experience working with healthcare providers, local government, nonprofits, and/or educational institutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Bilingual, Fluent in Spanish
