Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a strong understanding of psychological principles as they apply to the school environment. This role involves conducting assessments, providing counseling, and collaborating with educators and parents to support the mental health and academic success of students.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy to students facing various challenges.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive learning environments.
  • Manage cases involving students requiring additional support, ensuring appropriate resources are utilized.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed to address immediate student concerns.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
  • Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to student assessments and interventions.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of social work principles and case management practices.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive information regarding student mental health.
  • Proficiency in understanding medical records related to psychological assessments.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 per hour
