About Job

Maryland Treatment Centers, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our outpatient team of experienced and dedicated counselors in Rockville, Maryland. We are looking for a bilingual clinician (English and Spanish). The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team-based environment and have a passion and curiosity for treating adolescents and adults who are struggling with substance use disorders and other behavioral health concerns.

The clinical counselor role will be responsible for a range of duties including completing comprehensive clinical assessments, conducting individual and family therapy sessions, leading group therapy sessions, treatment planning, and completing comprehensive clinical documentation for both adults and adolescents. The qualified candidate will be able to complete clinical documentation thoroughly within appropriate time frames, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is able to prioritize clinical workload.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • License/certification issued by the State of Maryland such as ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGPC, LGADC, LCPC, LCADC, LMSW, LCSW-C
  • Understanding of DSM-5 diagnosis criteria and working knowledge of ASAM placement criteria
  • Culturally responsive
  • Growth mindset with interest and desire to learn and explore evidence-based practices
  • Knowledge of EHR/EMR
  • Basic computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft Office
