Residential Counselor
Make a difference for at-risk youth!
Michael’s Resource and Treatment Center is looking for compassionate individuals to work 2nd and 3rd shift with at-risk adolescent boys. Residential Counselors provide direct care to the youth we serve as well as implement evidence-based programming to promote behavior modification over time.
Michael’s Resource and Treatment Center is a division of Darke County Job and Family Services. MRTC is a trauma informed residential facility for males between the ages of 10-17 who are referred due to disruptive and delinquent behaviors. MRTC provides youth and their families individualized treatment to assist in stabilization as well as addressing underlying causes of high-risk behaviors.
A High School Diploma is required and applicants must be 21 years of age. A degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field preferred. Alternatively, a combination of education, training, and experience is desired. Individuals will need to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
