About Job

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School-Based Mental Health Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Crookston, MN. This position is 2-days a week within the school-based program at Alluma. This vital role focuses on delivering therapeutic skill and training services to students at Highland Elementary in Crookston whom have an identified mental health diagnosis. This provider will support both the students and their families to foster emotional well-being and academic success.

This skills-based provider will work alongside a mental health practitioner and professional at Alluma that is co-located at Crookston school district. You will play an essential role in promoting mental wellness by helping young students develop the tools they need to understand, manage, and overcome emotional and behavioral challenges.

As a mental health practitioner, Alluma offers clinical supervision to support your growth and ongoing success as a mental health provider. We provide board-certified supervisors for Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Counseling. This is a 12-month position with opportunities and flexibility in scheduling over summer if needed. Come join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group skill services to children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.
  • Engage with families to support treatment planning, communication, and coordination of care.
  • Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and administration to support students’ overall development.
  • Create and implement interventions focused on early identification, prevention, and management of mental health concerns alongside the client’s therapist.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with organizational and licensing standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field or qualified experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with mental illness.
  • Licensure or license eligibility in the state of Minnesota (Alluma does require a LSW for bachelor’s degree in social work).
  • Experience or passion for working with children and families in a school-based or clinical setting.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
