Better Starts Now, LLC is a telehealth practice servicing Veterans and vulnerable populations with behavioral health needs. Better Starts Now is searching for an individual who is caring, compassionate, and motivated to become a part of our team. Must possess an associate or independent level license in the State of Arizona (LAMFT, LMFT, LAC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW). This is a contract position with flexible hours. You have the ability to create your own schedule. This is a hybrid position. You will be able to schedule in office or telehealth appointments based on the needs of your client.

Preferred Qualifications:

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
EMDR trained
Motivational Interviewing

Behavioral Health Counselor

Position Summary

Position Overview:

Provide strength based interventions for Service Members through individual counseling to address needs that have been identified. Provides family and couple counseling services as needed.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

· Provides clinical/therapeutic interventions with adult Service members

· Completes documentation of all services provided in accordance with Better Starts Now,
LLC policy

· Completes intakes and assessments for Service members

· Creates treatment plans addressing Service member’s needs

· Ensures confidentiality of verbal and written recipient information, in accordance with
HIPPA standards and Better Starts Now, LLC policy

· Adheres to the legal/ethical/professional guidelines adopted by Better Starts Now, LLC

· Adheres to legal/ethical/professional guidelines by the American Counseling Association
or other professional affiliation

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements:

· Must meet the following:

o Master’s Degree in a field related to behavioral health (social work, counseling, marriage
and family therapy, substance abuse)

o Associate or Independent level licensure with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health
Examiners; and

o Must be at least 21 years of age

Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

Tools and Equipment Requirements:

Ability to use current electronic management system. The ability to access the telehealth platform used by Better Starts Now, LLC. The ability to use phone, computer, printer, and copier required. Frequently uses Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Physical Working Conditions and Office Setting Description:

Requires prolonged sitting, standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching. Some lifting may be required. Frequent and prolonged typing as well as operation of computer, keyboard, and telephones required.

Job Types: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $70 per hour
