About Job

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and educational success of students. This position involves working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students, particularly those with special needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Manage cases effectively, ensuring that all necessary interventions are in place for student success.
  • Create and monitor safety plans for students at risk of harm to themselves or others.
  • Work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to provide tailored support strategies.
  • Provide crisis management services during emergencies or critical incidents affecting students.
  • Collaborate with special education staff to support the needs of students requiring additional assistance.
  • Engage with students on the autism spectrum, developing strategies that promote their learning and social integration.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation regarding student assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Stay informed about current practices in school psychology to enhance service delivery.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in individual group counseling, case management, and crisis intervention within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with IEP development processes and special education regulations.
  • Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in medical documentation and adherence to ethical standards in school psychology practice.
