Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, particularly in areas related to child welfare and behavioral health. This role involves working closely with children and families to provide support, guidance, and resources necessary for their well-being. The Social Worker will play a crucial role in crisis intervention, conflict management, and promoting cultural diversity counseling.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to determine the needs of children and families.
- Provide crisis intervention services to individuals in distress.
- Collaborate with child protective services and other agencies to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans for clients.
- Offer support and counseling to children with special education needs.
- Facilitate conflict management sessions among families or groups.
- Engage in teaching moments to empower clients with knowledge about available resources.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
- Advocate for clients' rights within the social welfare system.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with children in various settings, including childcare or educational environments.
- Knowledge of child welfare policies and practices.
- Familiarity with behavioral health issues affecting children and families.
- Strong skills in crisis management and intervention techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.

Pay: $35.15 - $42.33 per hour
