About Job

Job Overview

Developmental and Behavioral Specialists is a small company owned and operated by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). We are seeking motivated entry-level behavior technicians to join our team!

DBS provides in-center and school-based early intervention services to children ages 2-12 in Ocoee area. We maintain a positive, supportive culture for our clients, their families, and our staff. At DBS, our goal is for our RBTs to enjoy their work and the environment they work in!

A typical day in-center at DBS consists of two 4-hour one-on-one sessions in the center from 9am to 5pm. Some of our daily activities include functional communication training, social skills activities, discrete trial teaching, and natural environment training. You will have all of your program materials right there in the center and work tablets are provided by the company. We focus primarily on verbal behavior, functional communication, teaching appropriate replacement behaviors, and behavior intervention procedures.

RBTs interested in providing services in the school setting will be guided through the OCPS registration process. You would typically provide in-school services in the morning/early afternoon before transitioning to the center for another client.

In addition to the 40-hr training required by the BACB, our training process is thorough and includes learning basic ABA principles as well as hands-on supervised participation with clients pending your background check. Our experienced RBTs and student analysts are always available to support you throughout training and afterwards, when you begin working on your own.
