JOB DESCRIPTION:
Family Connections Counseling Center, LLC is seeking Independent Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW), AND Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT), Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) to provide high quality services to children ages 5 years and up, adults and families in the Collins and Hattiesburg area. This agency has been set up as very "counselor friendly" to render therapeutic services to the steady flow of clients referred. This position is field base only, with office locations in Natchez and McComb, MS. offering suport to assist with client referrals and intakes, client scheduling and rescheduling, answer phone calls, check in and out clients, create client folders, insurance verification, etc. We also provide office space, utilities, online scheduling through our EMR, TherapyNOTES, waiting and break room, restroom, internet, fax, copier, etc. Family Connections Counseling Center, LLC offers competitive rates, market and provide pre-qualified clients for you, offer clinical support and guidance, and takes care of billing.
JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment
- Counsel clients in an individual, group or family setting
- Responsible for client mental health assessments, and performs initial intake interviews
- Identifies psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues and diagnosis
- Responsible for determining client's psychiatric diagnosis based on diagnostic criteria from DSM 5
- Performs administrative duties related to intake and assessment activities
- Treatment planning development based on clinical experience, client's strengths, needs abilities, and preferences
- Documents, completes progress notes, assessments, treatment plans timely and accurately.
- Act as client advocates in the home, school, community setting to coordinate required services or to resolve problems in crisis situations
- Modify treatment activities or approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed LCSW, LPC,P- LPC, LMSW, or LMFT in the state of Mississippi
- Master Degree with Clinical Supervision hours/eligible for clinical supervision
- Must have professional malpractice/liability insurance
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and exceptional integrity
- Must be an independent provider with Mississippi Medicaid, Magnolia Health, United HealthCare, and or eligible to apply.
- Individually contracted and available to see clients in network with MS MEDICAID and or other major insurers in MS
- 2+ years/ experience in counseling, social work, or other related to working with children and families
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong leadership qualities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Driver's License in good standing
- Car registration and insurance current
- Successful clearance of state criminal background check
- Successful clearance of drug and TB test
- Sign one-year contract
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proficient in diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders
- Strong assessment and therapy skills
- Experience working with children, adolescent/teens, families and adult in a mental health setting
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Master's Degree or Ph.D in mental health related field
