Chemical Dependency Counselor / LSW / LPC - Gratiot, OH (#TE1027)
Location: Gratiot, OH
Employment Type: Full-time (32-40 hrs/week)
Hourly Rate: $22.13 - $30.46/hour (experience-dependent)
Position Overview:
Provide evidence-based counseling to individuals battling chemical dependency. Lead group/individual sessions, educate families, and advocate for patients using a bio-psychosocial approach in a dynamic treatment setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic counseling to individuals struggling with chemical dependency using a bio-psychosocial approach.
- Educate patients and families about the disease process of chemical dependency.
- Lead group discussions, work one-on-one with patients, and assign group activities for Mental Health Technicians.
- Assess patient needs and recommend appropriate groups.
- Complete billing charges/sheets daily.
- Utilize historic and current data to assess patient needs and provide effective counseling.
- Provide individual and group crisis intervention, as well as family clinical interventions.
- Act as a client advocate, mediator, and facilitator.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: LSW or LPC required.
- Licensure:
- Must be licensed by the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
- Current licensure by the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board as an LCDC II, III, or LICDC. Higher than CDCA.
- Experience: Chemical dependency counseling preferred
- Soft Skills: Crisis intervention • Client advocacy • Family mediation
