We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced Psychiatric Technician to join our mental health care team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in behavioral health, with a focus on patient safety, crisis intervention, and therapeutic communication. This role involves working closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to support the care and treatment of patients with psychiatric disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and document patients’ mental and physical status regularly
• Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and mobility
• Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques as needed
• Observe and report any changes in behavior or condition to the clinical team
• Escort patients to and from examinations, activities, and therapy sessions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment
• Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute observations and suggestions
• Accurately complete documentation and maintain patient confidentiality
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience working as a Psychiatric Technician or in a behavioral health setting
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Knowledge of psychiatric conditions and behavioral health treatment approaches
• Strong communication, observation, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and emotionally demanding environment
• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Training in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or similar de-escalation techniques
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric units, residential treatment, or detox facilities

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
