Our after school counselors are a very key element to the Extended Day Program. Our counselors are responsible for the following:

- arriving to campus and preparing for the day (getting supplies, snacks, and organizing the room)

- Receiving the students at dismissal in a calm and organized manor

- Taking attendance, passing out snacks and maintaining order in the room you are assigned

- Assisting with homework and enforcing room rules for the benefit of all students in the room

- Leading students through transitions

- Chaperoning students during their outside play time

- Assisting the Admin team in getting students inside when it is their time to go home

- Working well with co-counselors, students, and administration to ensure a positive and efficient environment in the program

The ideal candidate for an after school counselor at Orange Grove is punctual, communicative, reliable, takes initiative, and works well with their co-counselors for the best outcome each day. This job is not physically demanding but does require patience, leadership, and an outgoing person who enjoys being on the team. The hours are very flexible, but the ideal candidate is available from 2p-6p Mon-Fri. Major holidays off with many additional opportunities within the school as well.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
