AuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking a Bereavement Counselor for our Burlington, NC Office. The position will support our service areas of Chapel Hill and surrounding areas.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evening work.

Job Summary:
The Bereavement Counselor will provide emotional support and grief counseling to Hospice families, and for the general community. Will facilitate workshops and support groups for the bereaved. This position requires experience and competency in method of assessment and counseling individuals, groups, and families in crisis. Excellent communication and public speaking skills are required. The Bereavement Counselor needs the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team as a member, as well as the ability to work autonomously.

Education/Licensure and Experience:
Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation. Must be able to work in Burlington Office.

Requirements
Education/Licensure and Experience:
- Completion of a master's degree in a human services field.
- At least one year of experience working with clients in the counseling field.
- Educational and clinical experience in the area of death, dying, and grief counseling.
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
- Availability for occasional evening work.
