Description:
Responsible for comprehensive assessment of individuals whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness.
Conducts evaluations related to behavioral disturbances and substance abuse issues.
Assists family members and others with the admission process, both voluntary and emergency detentions.
Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate.
Assigns individuals in need of treatment to the appropriate outpatient program.
Coordinates inpatient admissions with the medical staff.
Expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
Participates in the organization’s community relations program.
Engages in continuous quality improvement activities.
