Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licenses Mental Health Counselors to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to provide support and care in a variety of settings, including outpatient and telehealth environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with mental health challenges, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others.
Duties
- Provide direct support to clients in a clinical setting, assisting with daily activities and therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct clients assessments and assist in the development of individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and treatment progress notes, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and develop effective treatment strategies for patients with diverse needs.
- Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies to ensure a safe environment for all patients.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving mental health treatment outcomes.
- Support patients dealing with various issues such as PTSD, addiction, grief, chronic pain, and developmental disabilities.
- Implement therapeutic activities such as art therapy or dance therapy to enhance patient engagement and recovery.
Requirements
- Experience in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred; familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with medical records management.
- Background in social work or psychology is beneficial; knowledge of psychopharmacology is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations; experience in pediatrics or special education is advantageous.
- Familiarity with telehealth practices is desirable; experience in outpatient clinic settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral therapy practices; experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $84.00 per hour
