Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker is needed to support an elementary schools student population from kindergarten through second grade. This maternity leave position runs from August 27 through December 19 and operates Monday through Friday on a schedule of 7.25 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

The social worker will manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, addressing the diverse social and emotional needs of young learners. Responsibilities include conducting individual and small group meetings, particularly focusing on students with more serious challenges, as well as providing support during lunch periods to ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 50 students (K-2) with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions tailored to students needs
• Offer lunchtime supervision and social support to encourage positive interactions
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student well-being
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Social Work or related field with appropriate licensure or certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational setting
• Knowledge of IEPs, 504 plans, and special education procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a school team
