Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the mental health and educational success of students by providing psychological assessments, interventions, and counseling services. This role requires a strong understanding of school psychology principles and the ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to foster a supportive learning environment.

Duties

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students dealing with behavioral health issues, including anxiety, depression, and social challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to support students with autism and other developmental disorders.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to medical terminology standards in all reporting.
  • Serve as a resource for parents and staff regarding mental health issues, behavioral strategies, and case management practices.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and necessary adjustments to interventions.
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in school psychology, special education, and behavioral health.

Experience

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in school psychology or a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with psychological testing methods and tools is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices is necessary.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including students with autism spectrum disorders, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff members.
