About Job

We are seeking a part-time licensed or license-eligible clinical psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our primary care team in providing high quality assessment and interventions to our patients at Good Samaritan Health Center, a non-profit clinic serving low-income, unhoused, and uninsured families in Atlanta. Primary responsibilities include regular interdisciplinary consultation with physicians and advanced practitioners, administration and interpretation of screening measures and psychological and neurocognitive assessment tools, engaging with patients, and providing brief evidence-based interventions with patients across the lifespan. Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations
  • Provide evidence-based therapies
  • Interdisciplinary collaborative care and consultation
  • Support whole health, including housing and social support case management and collaboration with Good Sam staff and community organizations
  • Continue developing psychological programming and opportunities for patients, staff, and community


Minimal Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
  • Georgia psychologist license or license-eligible (i.e., requiring supervised hours)
  • Training in and experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, psychiatric rehabilitation, Prolonged Exposure, etc.
  • Experience with relatively brief evaluation
  • Ability to work with interpreters and/or language line services
  • Background check required on employment
  • Updated COVID vaccinations


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and skill in trauma-informed evidence-based care
  • Experience with medical interdisciplinary teamwork and collaborative care
  • Experience with integrated behavioral health frameworks
  • Experience with complex, comorbid, and dual-diagnosis work
  • Openness and kindness across diverse populations, spiritualities, professions, etc.
  • Strong desire to contribute to the community and those in need
  • Bi/Multi-lingual


Hours

  • Part-time, negotiable
  • Friday morning is the unhoused walk-in clinic - this is a priority if possible
  • Other hours available Monday to Saturday
