The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is hiring a Psychologist II – Clinical Psychologist to join our behavioral health team at Dallas State Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to provide direct therapeutic care, conduct psychological assessments, and contribute to innovative treatment planning for adults in a forensic and acute psychiatric setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy to adults and families
- Conduct psychological testing, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations
- Supervise and train graduate psychology trainees and staff as assigned
- Design and monitor behavior modification and skill acquisition plans
- Develop and implement specialized treatment programs in collaboration with the treatment team
- Educate and consult with interdisciplinary staff and community stakeholders
- Ensure all services comply with CMS and Joint Commission standards
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited university
- Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Texas (or a reciprocity state)
- 1+ year of supervised experience by a licensed psychologist
- 1+ year of experience conducting therapy with forensic psychiatric populations
