Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing guidance and support to individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, and crisis situations. Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to clients through mentoring and motivational interviewing techniques.
• Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized support plans.
• Offer mental health counseling and behavioral health support to individuals dealing with various challenges.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and management strategies to ensure client safety and stability.
• Collaborate with social workers, addiction counselors, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in crisis management and support systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in mental health counseling or behavioral health settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and crisis intervention techniques.
• Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate clients towards positive change.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Familiarity with systems related to mental health services and community resources is a plus.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
