Counselor – Young Adult Substance Use IOP
Location: Pyramid Healthcare – York, PA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Four-Day Work Week)
Salary: Starting at $50,000 per year

Pyramid Healthcare in York is a trusted leader in behavioral health, providing evidence-based, compassionate care. Our Young Adult Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) helps clients ages 18–25 build coping skills, achieve sobriety, and lay the foundation for long-term recovery.

We're seeking a Counselor to join our evening IOP team. In this role, you will carry a caseload of young adult clients, provide both group and individual therapy, and work closely with a supportive clinical team to help clients achieve their treatment goals.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for young adults focused on substance use recovery, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and healthy coping skills.

  • Provide individual therapy sessions and ongoing case management for assigned clients.

  • Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and level-of-care recommendations as needed.

  • Develop and regularly update individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.

  • Collaborate with clients' families (when appropriate), referral sources, and internal team members to support continuity of care.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and clinical supervision to support quality client care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology) with licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or certification (CAADC), or eligibility to obtain.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with CADC, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field with CAAC, or eligibility to obtain.
  • High School Diploma with CAAC.
