Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in school psychology and be skilled in providing psychological services to students with diverse needs. This role is essential in fostering a supportive learning environment, promoting mental health awareness, and enhancing the academic success of students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Provide crisis intervention services to students experiencing acute psychological distress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention strategies for students with developmental disabilities.
- Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services to students, focusing on their emotional well-being and personal development.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans for students with disabilities.
- Provide training and support for staff on mental health issues, crisis management, and effective strategies for working with students with disabilities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school psychology.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention and diagnostic evaluation.
- Knowledge of psychotherapy techniques applicable to children and adolescents.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports the mental health needs of all students.

Pay: $70.00 per hour
