Purpose: to provide direct mental health care to non-hospitalized adults 18 and up in a residential setting experiencing an acute crisis of a psychiatric nature that may jeopardize their current community living situation. The goals are to avert hospitalization or re-hospitalization; provide normative environments with a high assurance of safety and security for crisis intervention; stabilize individuals in psychiatric crisis; and mobilize the resources of the community support system, family members and others for ongoing maintenance, rehabilitation and recovery. Services are primarily to be provided via face-to-face involvement with the client and other family members primarily within the home although they may occur in various community settings.
Immediate Supervisor: House Manager
Duties: The activities associated with the primary responsibility of this position are:
- Work with adults with mental health and or co-occurring challenges to assist with addressing immediate mental health, medical and or psychosocial skills needs to reduce crisis.
- Engage in the completion of shift communication logs, morning and evening worksheets and other forms for program efficiency.
- Work with population served to engage in care coordination and discharge planning for the purposes of connecting to resources for ongoing recovery and management.
- Actively participate in the client intake process as well as follow the crisis program curriculum.
- Engage in the ongoing assessment of the client’s treatment needs for person centered treatment planning.
- Provide sight and sound supervision of clients served at all times to maintain a safe a secure environment for crisis intervention.
- Assist in the development and ongoing monitoring and implementation of Individual Service Plan.
- Assist with maintaining the crisis home via the management of its physical environment.
- Assist with following the day/evening crisis intervention program schedule.
- Complete psychoeducation interventions hourly to assist the client with gaining skills needed to reduce and managing presenting behaviors.
- Other duties as assigned.

License/Certification:
- QMHP/QMHP-T Certification
- Certified Medication Aide (Preferred)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
