Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Job Location: Loudoun Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Ashburn, VA

Job Type: Fulltime

Job Summary:

Are you looking for a company that you can call home and have opportunities to grow? We are looking for an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing practice. We pride ourselves on guiding our staff in the right direction to not only learn but also get hands-on training to move forward within the company. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to assigned dental offices and patients.

Job Description:

  • Provide quality care and attention to our patients, referring offices and team.
  • Assist patients in all phases of care.
  • Act as primary contact for assigned referring doctors.
  • Discuss patient care and answer any questions regarding treatment.
  • Follow-up with patients for missed, broken appointments and unscheduled treatment.
  • Contact patients prior to surgery to collect payment deposits and answer any question.
  • Assist in answering inbound calls when all other employees are not available.
  • Schedule surgical appointments according to practice goals and blocks.
  • Follow up on unscheduled treatment plans.
  • Respond to needs of assigned RD’s and office staff.
  • Coordinate doctor meetings, respond to patient questions and requests.
  • Maintain patient charts: ensure required forms are accounted for and signed.
  • Verify Insurance.
  • Review consultation charges and enter into computer.
  • Back up to other co-workers (Reception, PCC, Scheduler, Finance, Manager).
  • Any other duties assigned.


Responsibilities

  • Present treatment using insurance benefits.
  • Schedule appointments for multiple doctors and locations
  • Collecting payment for procedures
  • Answering multi-line phones
  • Gathering patient information needed for appointments.
  • Obtaining patient information from referring doctors
  • Adhere to policy and procedures during all activities.
  • Preparing patient charts
  • Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information.
  • Check emails and voicemails daily.
  • Restocking and light cleaning of the reception area and restroom


Required Skills:

  • Math skills (addition, subtraction, and percentages)
  • Bilingual is a HUGE plus, yet not required.
  • Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergencies.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and Microsoft Office skills
  • Adaptable to change- in healthcare, things can change almost daily.

Work Location:

  • Two locations with a willingness to travel to other locations as needed to cover.


Special Requirements:

  • Physical requirements include prolonged sitting and lifting to 20 lbs. Must be able to be stationary up to 50% of the time.
